If you are transferring your KCP&L account to a new address, or you want to start/stop service with KCP&L, please contact KCP&L Customer Care by calling 816-471-5275 or 888-471-5275.

Please allow at least two working days notice (Monday - Friday) to shut off your electricity. Requests received on major holidays or weekends will be taken care of during the following week.

If you have placed a deposit with KCP&L, the deposit plus the interest you have earned will be applied to your final bill. We will also apply any credit balance you may have on your account. Any refund will be mailed to your forwarding address.
