KCP&L supports the following scholarship programs*:
- UMKC - School of Engineering
- Metropolitan Community Colleges - Business Technology School
- Ellis Foundation (they work with rural communities in Kansas and Missouri to identify qualifying students who show potential and plan to major in a field that would transfer to a job at KCP&L)
* These scholarships are coordinated by the school or external organization and students must apply directly through them. KCP&L is not involved in the selection process.
