Paying your bill should be simple and convenient. KCP&L offers several options so you can find a method that fits your business.

Businesses that meet certain requirements may be eligible for ACH credit options (where customers initiate the transfer of funds through their financial institutions). Contact your Energy Consultant or the Business Center for more information.

One-Time Online Payment

  • After your one-time payment, set up automatic payments so you never forget.
  • Get electronic statements sent to your email to reduce paper waste.
  • Get email or text message reminders when your bill is due.


Auto Pay

  • Set up recurring payments on your regular due date each month.
  • Avoid late charges or discontinued service.
  • Get online access to 24 months of past bills.
  • Receive email statements to reduce paper waste.


By Phone

  • Pay your bill easily with a phone call to our automated payment line.
  • Have your KCP&L account number and checkbook available, then follow the simple voice prompts.
  • Receive a confirmation number.
  • To speak with a representative, call the phone number referenced on your bill.
The services may not be used by the following persons or entities (each a “Prohibited User”): (a) aggregators, submitting multiple payments on behalf of multiple customers; (b) online bill payment providers or processors, submitting payments first authorized by a consumer through an internet accessible, online bill payment website; or (c) any person submitting a payment through any automated data entry process such as “screen scraping,” “data scraping,” “web scraping” or any other automated or “batch processing” entry of data that does not require action by a human end user to complete a payment authorization, unless specifically authorized by KCP&L.

  • There may be businesses in your area that offer to accept payments, but KCP&L can only guarantee your payment and validate your receipt number at an authorized pay location.
  • Some authorized pay locations in Missouri add a fee for processing your payment, but never more than $1.
