If you're worried that you may not be able to pay your bill, please contact KCP&L customer service. There are payment options available.  There are also special payment options during the Cold Weather period (November 1 to March 31).

There are organizations and programs that can help you pay your electric bill. 

Adjust Your Due Date  

If you receive Social Security or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), you can plan the due date of your KCP&L bill so that it matches up with the timing of your benefits. This is a free program that helps you avoid late payments and possible service disconnection.
