Meter Replacement

Many customers who live in our rural service territory* will soon receive a new electric meter.

We regularly upgrade our metering infrastructure to ensure consistent, reliable service and completed the first and second phases of our Meter Replacement Project. This project was launched as we regularly upgrade our metering infrastructure to ensure consistent, reliable service in keeping with industry standards.

What you need to know

  •  A few weeks before installation, we’ll send you a postcard detailing the meter exchange.
  • You don’t need to be present for the upgrade. However, there will be a very brief service interruption when the new meter is installed, so you may need to reprogram digital clocks or other electronic devices.
  • We’ll leave a door-hanger letting you know when the exchange is completed.
