KCP&L LinkedIn Community Guidelines


We are excited to engage with customers, fans, followers and viewers in our social media channels. Our goal is to provide you with information on our company, initiatives, products, partnerships and community involvement, and we strive to create open discussion. But before you jump in, please read our terms of use, which will ensure the page provides both a positive site experience and a respectful and constructive community.

Rules of Engagement

We invite and encourage feedback, including positive feedback and constructive criticism, but ask that you provide all feedback in a civil and respectful manner. Please abide by the LinkedIn User Agreement and the KCP&L LinkedIn Community Guidelines while engaging with us.

Feed Moderation

KCP&L generally monitors the LinkedIn community between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. While we encourage open discussion, we reserve the right to block, report, unfollow, and/or remove the connection with users who post inflammatory, negative and/or disruptive content.

User Agreement

In addition to conforming to the LinkedIn User Agreement for community participation, KCP&L reserves the right to not respond to and/or report any content that: 
  • Contains spam
  • Contains solicitation or advertisements
  • Contains unlawful, harmful, harassing, threatening, abusive, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, racist, sexist, discriminatory or hateful content
  • Contains deceptive, misleading or factually unsupported content
  • Contains links not authorized or approved by KCP&L
  • Violates any applicable local, state, national or international law
  • Infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any party
  • Promotes organizations or groups not affiliated with or sponsored by KCP&L
  • Contains private, personal or sensitive information about any individual
  • Posts or links to files containing viruses or computer code designed to interrupt, harm, destroy or limit the functionality of any software or hardware

We ask that users never disclose any private, personal or sensitive information publicly on LinkedIn. However, should you choose to share private information, please provide it via direct message. When you direct message us on LinkedIn, you give us non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use any materials that you send via direct message to our LinkedIn page.

If you see content posted on our LinkedIn page that violates the KCP&L LinkedIn Community Guidelines or LinkedIn User Agreement, please report it directly to LinkedIn and notify us via a private direct message.


The name “KCP&L” and the graphics, photos, logos and videos displayed on KCP&L social media channels are the property of the KCP&L and cannot be used without written consent.


The appearance of links, posts or comments does not constitute a KCP&L endorsement. The content and views expressed by other do not reflect the opinions, ideas or positions of KCP&L, its affiliates or its employees.

LinkedIn Terms of Service

LinkedIn User Agreement applies to all activity in this community.

KCP&L Employees

Only those employees authorized by the Company may post content on behalf of the Company. When posting content in your personal capacity, please be aware that the same principles and guidelines found in the KCP&L Social Media Policy and our Guiding Principles apply. KCP&L is aware of its obligations with regard to protected activity under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), and none of the prohibitions contained in these Guidelines are intended to infringe upon your rights under the NLRA.
