Rate riders and adjustments are different for each service area. A rate rider is a changing or temporary rate, unlike general monthly rates, adjusted to cover things like:

  • Demand side investment (Missouri and GMO) 
  • Energy cost adjustment (Kansas)
  • Fuel adjustment (Missouri and GMO)
  • Property tax surcharge (Kansas)
  • Transmission delivery charge (Kansas) 
  • Renewable energy standard rebate adjustment (GMO)
