1 Contact Information

2 Message Board

The message board provides helpful and timely information about your rates, special programs, electrical safety, energy efficiency and payment options.

3 Account Summary

Your account summary details recent account history, including your previous billing amount and payment, current charges and total amount due. 

4 Bill Stub

Your bill stub summarizes some important information: your account number, the amount of your bill and when it’s due. If mailing your payment, return this portion with your statement for accurate posting. Or check out other ways to pay your bill.

5 Rate Code

Your rate code indicates which rate group you are in. Your rate code is based on your KCP&L service area and the type of service.Using this rate code you may identify the rate tariff applicable to your service.

6 Usage Information

Depending on your service area, usage information on some bills will show a graph of energy use by month and meter readings. Other bills show meter readings with average usage and last year’s average usage for the same period. This information is useful for comparison and budgeting. You also can access this information online by signing up for online account access.

7 Billing Details

Your billing details offer an itemized account of energy charges, taxes and municipal fees. Find out more about typical charges.
